It is summer.

Oh, they are beautiful.
Summer summed up, I'd say.
Shall make do with the ones I froze in the meantime...

Blueberries! I must go out now to see if the plants weathered through the storm. AND to be sure that the doxie didn't do any chewing on the main trunk!
p.s. Thanks for the words of encouragement...my garden plants are almost like my babies!

Beautiful! It made me run out and check mine, but they're not at that point yet!

Lovely photo. They're so plump!

Lucy: I don't have many of them. My bush is still pretty small, and this past year has been learning experience about how to care for them.
Rowena: I hope your blueberry bush weathered the weather!
Pam: Ah, but you can still look forward to them.
Wendy: Thank you. Their plumpness was surpassed by their yumminess.

Can't wait for the Jersey Blues to hit the markets in another month or so.
My mom's plants took years to establish. Someday you will have a real bounty. (Even so, I still purchase the locals when they're available.)

Jean Ann: I hope you have a bountiful harvest.
Susan: I can't get enough blueberries--what's your favorite blueberry application?

Fresh in the bowl with barely a drizzle of heavy cream.
